Simply In Awe….

Here I sit in a tiny internet cafe in Mbarara, Uganda. To get here I rode with a driver and 2 other girls (4 people) on the back of a motabota, which is somewhere inbetween a dirt bike and a motorcycle, and they are tiny! It is so much fun but honestly their driving totally freaks me out. I literally cannot believe I’m here, it feels so surreal. Let me give you a quick run down of my time here and you’ll understand why. We flew into Entebbe a few days ago and took so team bonding time to witer water raft the Nile river and go bungee jumping. It was absolutely incredible. I...

stirring up his holy fire!

when the Lord said he was going to stretch me he must have been out of his mind. so many things iv seen and it’s only been two days, driving around Ugandan towns i cant help but reflect on the things i have in my life and how sure i am that i absolutely love God. my goal of being here is bringing these wonderful people to Christ and there is nothing more I would want. to show the people of Uganda that the Lord is so much more than a man who died for them but a friend, a best friend, the one whom they confide in, and put all trust in. it’s only the beginning but my heart is being...

Made it Safely

We just spoke with the team leaders and both teams have arrived safely in Uganda.  Tomorrow morning they will begin their time in Uganda with an exciting adventure so stay tuned to what they blog about in the next few days. After that, they are in route to their ministry sites via some very long bus rides and traveling on foot. They will be settling in these next few days and getting some orientation from their host.  Expect to see some blogs rolling out in the next few days as they find internet. Thanks for all the prayers for this team! The Passport field support team

Training camp

So im sitting out in a field near a forest on the beautiful campus of toccoa falls college in georgia. All 16 of us on our team camped out here last night using only 2 tarps, some rope, a wet log, and some rocks. This training camp has been tough but so great so far. The people here are so real and when we all gather, the spirit of God goes crazy. Its impossible to ignore. My team is amazing. Everyone is from different places…atlanta, maryland, new york, denver, missouri, wisconsin, indiana, chicago, philadelphia and virginia. Everyone is so pumped to leave on tuesday but also...

Rush

I don’t even know where to start, this past 5 days have been the most exciting, adventurous days I have been given. To make a long and frequently told story short- I am going to AFRICA!  I have been in the states since the middle of May 2011 and have been wrestling with God as to when I’d be back on the field and back partnering with AIM. I visited Nicaragua (which was my home from Jan-May 2011 through AIM) this winter to see the ministry site I once called home. Since visiting my heart has been aching to do missions. I wasn’t really sure what this would look like...
