I AM ENOUGH

I AM ENOUGH I have already fallen in love with everything about Kenya. It has far surpassed every expectation I ever had. God’s love and presence is so evident in this place and through these people. He has been so faithful as every sunrise and sunset. His beauty shines throughout the rolling hills and through every smile of every child. ( don’t be surprised if I bring one home, seriously) Since the day I stepped off the plane in Atlanta, God has been teaching me, stretching me, and been preparing my heart for all that he has for me and all the love he wants to give me. I am...

Sopa, Meisisi Yesu!

Greetings family and friends! The Lord has been working in and through our team so much already. We have experienced so many beautiful things and God's presence as we travel and spend time with the Maasai people. We drove the three hour drive from Nanyuki, Kenya to the area called Masul, Kenya in the Bush of Africa. The drive was so beautiful with mountainous scenery, friendly African faces, giraffes, camels, a hyena, and gazelles. We were greeted so warmly by the Maasai people after the bumpy dirt road drive. They prepared a meal for us and we all set up our tents and settled in. It...

Karibu

Africa is even more beautiful than I had expected. The land and the people have welcomed (Karibu) us with such open arms. Even with sharing a tiny tent, learning to use a squatty potty(to be explained later), and not having showered in over a week, I am feeling more at home every day. The people I'm getting to share this journey with are beyond amazing. It's very  evident God has handpicked every single person for this team. In just the short amount of time we have been together, they have blessed me more than they even know. There is abundant love within the team, and everyone...

Bo, or Bobo?

First blog post. Yeah, I've been slackin'. I've just been soaking it all in, letting The Lord give a word for me to say. I was going to blog tomorrow, and I decided to open my notebook with notes a family member told me to read on specific dates, and today's had a little note, "Don't forget to blog." Okay, Jesus, I'll do it! Chimutu. My heart is no longer in Atlanta, Georgia, but in a small village 10 minutes north of Lilongwe I had no idea existed until 5 days ago. My life was changed in an instant, as I was greeted with the most welcoming of smiles, from...

Chimutu.

We have had an awesome first few days of ministry. Malawi is such an incredible place.    We are working with Harvesters International, helping with a church plant in a village called Chimutu. (meaning, Big Head) We have spent the last 3 days going to a few surrounding villages and inviting people to church on Sunday. But my favorite part has been building relationships with the amazing people in this village.    How blessed are we? That we have been sent to love these people? That WE get to witness the crazy, wonder working power of Jesus, firsthand? ...
